I'm taking Parallels 5.0 for a spin. Converted my Fusion 3.0 Windows 7 VM to Parallels. I'm having two problems. 1) My Intel Core 2 Duo under the Processors tree in Device Manager shows the following error: A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32). 2) My previously defined printers have disappeared under Control Panel Devices and Printers. When I attempt to add a printer I receive this error message: "Windows can't open add printer. The local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine". The Print Spooler service is set to automatic startup. I can successfully start it. But it doesn't solve the problem. I followed the KB article on deleting files with the Windows folder and removing entries via Regedit. However there were no files present or registry entries to remove. Please offer guidance on how to resolve these issues. I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.2 on a MacBook Pro 2.93 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, 256GB solid-state drive computer. Thanks.
Never mind It took less time to install a fresh copy of Windows and all of my applications then to get a response from this forum. I'm happy to report that everything seems to be running well.
