Difference between Win 10 ARM and other (Linux) Display resolution?

After a few tries, I got Windows 10 ARM Tech Preview running. It runs well at 1920x 1200 (my native display resolution) with no intervention from me - it just installed that way. Yet, every subsequent install of Linux ARM versions limits the resolution to an almost unusable 1024 x 768 display.

I understand that the issue is likely related to Parallels Tools, but how does Windows pull off not needing the Tools?

Parallels automatically installs Windows 10 Guest Tool (ARM) in the Windows VM. ARM Linux tools are still under development.

Thanks, Harald. I am an orphan from the world of Virtualbox, where the guest tools are multi-platform. Good to know!
