I'm updating windows 8, and since my battery lasts generally well over the work day, I usually don't bring my charger. I'm stuck without an adapter trying to install windows 8 on parallels, which requires the power adapter be plugged in. Does anyone know a setting where the battery status is not made available to the Parallels VM, so it thinks it is plugged in?
