Disable "Please wait while the virtual machine is being upgraded" splash screen?

Is it possible to disable this? It's SOOO irritating and half the time it doesn't complete. So I have no clue what the actual problem is. One of my VMs always gets stuck on this - so I can't start it - what can I do to actually start it? Ideally removing this splash screen (which I feel like is only here to prevent non-technical people from clicking around while it's happening) would be the solution for me.

 

You need to start VM, and when it is stuck in upgrade process switch to manual upgrade mode (press Ctrl-Option-Command-R). Then, please, follow the article:
