I have tried to update Parallels Tools on my Centos 7 Vms and, although it completes successfully, I get a warning at the end, "Parallels Tools was successfully install, but we recommend you install the following packages as well: - dkms". Looking at the log, this is because the Parallels Tools install script cannot find the package dkms in the repositories it's searching: How important is this package? I searched and found that the VirtualBox Yum repo has this package - if I follow the pre-requisite instructions for installing VirtualBox, will that fix the missing package Parallels Tools needs?
