I used transporter to migrate my existing windows machine. When I try to go to the new .hdd file in parallels it asks me to enter the windows cd??? I lost my windows cd over a year and half ago. Any way of using my existing windows setup without the cd?

    Hello,

how do you try to access this .hdd? Did you create a new VM?

    Best regards,
    Alicia.

I created a .hdd on the existing windows machine and created a new virtual machine by pointing to that .hdd on the network. Should I have saved the .hdd file to the hard drive that my mac running parallels is on?

I just tried to access the new .hdd by creating a new VM and pointing the image file to the .hdd file and I get an error message saying the file is not a regular file and cannot be used as a CD/DVD-ROM image????
