    Help...need To Get Parallels Working

Ok sorry Im new to parallels...I opened it and started a new VM and then it ran me through what type of machine etc, what I wanted to call it....then when i clicked play it opened an MS Dos style window and then says no boot device found, is this a point to enter the windows xp cd into my mac or something?

Yes, you need the Windows XP setup CD to install Windows XP into your VM.

I have the Re-installation cd as my other 2 computers are windows that were pre-installed, will this work? its new and in the package?

also do I just put the cd in and it will work once I have parallels loaded?

Unless the CDs can install a generic, fresh Windows installation on its own instead of 'restoring' it for the hardware that it was intended for, the disks you have wouldn't work properly. If it does work, once you put the CD in Parallels will have no trouble working with it.
