Is it possible to use biometric USB devices like fingerprint on 2X ApplicationServer? I would like to use biometric authentication for loging on to the 2X TerminalServer and to the Web application from the web browser on TerminalServer Desktop.

I have found a similar post under 2X ThinclinetServer category titled "USB Fingerprint . it's possible?"; however, it was posted 2 years ago on Jan. 14, 2009, and it was for thinclient PC (I am thinking of using it on normal client PC.)

So I would like to know if the current version of 2X ApplicationServer supports USB biometric devices or not.

    Thank you in advance.

    HI

In 2x TCOS usb re-direction is only supported if connecting with vm view (PCOIP).

    Hi, jurgencachia

Thank you for replying. So it seems like 2X AP or 2X VDS does not support USB re-direction.
Since USB re-direction also works when I use Windows RDP and connect directly to the TerminalServer,
I may need to think of alternatives (like VM view or direct RDP connection) for biometric requests.

However, I wonder what or which component is prohibiting 2X to re-direct USB devices?
Also is there any plan for 2X on supporting USB re-direction or PCoIP like technology?

    Thanks,

    HI

USB re-direction is supported on both 2X VDS and 2X AS,it is only not supported when connecting from 2x CCOS/TCOS.

    Regards,
