Hi again. I have a doubt. I configure 2 servers 2008 in Direct Mode with Access Portal. I want to have it in production, public access my college. My doubt is: If I need Two public IPs (for the Direct Mode) by a browser connection. Ithink yes. If I I need open the ports in my switch for public (80, 81, 3389, 443, 20000, 20002, 20003, 2000). But I monitoring by netstat in a client and only see 80, 3389 and 443 Established in the server. Thanks
HI the Following ports are Required for client Connection. Port 80 (HTTP) Port 443 (SSL connection) Port 3389 (RDP Connection) ports 20000, 20002, 20003, 2000 are only required within your internal network. Direct Mode: Clients first connect to the 2X Secure Client Gateway for the best available Server and then connect directly with that particular Server. This is best used when the client and the server are on the same network. The ‘Change Direct Address’ (2x Farm-->Terminal server-->Properties-->agent settings)checkbox allows you to configure and enter a new direct address. This address is used in Direct Connection mode only (internal or external IP address); depending on where your clients will be. If the IP address is external, they must be assigned at your firewall to your servers. The ports are all shown here: http://www.2x.com/solutions/images/Port_Reference.jpg Also for a detailed setup walk through in a general and large deployment look at this for firewall configurations: http://www.2x.com/blog/2010/04/tech/con ... solutions/ Hope this helps.
