I recently sent in a support ticket regarding clipboard synch and was told that until there is a fix, I should downgrade to build 5160. How do I go about doing that? I'm currently using 5582.
Hello Amalthea23, You should uninstall the build 5582 first, using .dmg file from Applications - Parallels folder. Then install the build5160. Best regards, Xenos
I've now re-installed 5160, however, clipboard sync is still not working. I can copy from windows and paste in os x, but cannot do the reverse anymore. Any ideas as to how this can be remedied?
Amalthea23, are you using Tiger as Host OS? If so, there is a known copy-paste issue being currently investigated. We do not have a proved workaround or solution yet, unfortunately. However you can try the workarounds proposed by other forum members in this thread. Best regards, Xenos
Hello, The issue does not appear under Leopard. So upgrading is supposed to be effective to solve this problem. Meanwhile, Parallels developers are working hard to make an update fixing the issue. Best regards, Xenos
Ok, I'll see about upgrading in the meantime. I assumed I'd get the functionality back after downgrading to the old version, but it looks like leopard is the way to go then.
You can also wait awhile for the update of Parallels Desktop. According to our investigations, the issue is caused by the last Mac OS security update that made some internal Mac OS functions working improperly. And there is a number of Parallels features depending on these functions. The work on fixing the copy-paste issue is going on. Best regards, Xenos
