I've installed Parallels 11 on a 13in MBP and a MacMini. I've put a Windows10 image on both systems. They came up fine and function as one would think they should except for 2 things. First off there missing drivers for 3 hardware entries in "Device Manager": Multimedia Audio Controller, and 2 different PCI Devices. Also instead of the "Intel Iris Graphics 6100" driver, it shows "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". My screen resolution is stuck at 1024X768. This is not 1998, and I'd like to take advantage of my modern systems video capabilities. I've gone through the hardware configurations tips I've found online and selected fullscreen... but it's still fullscreen at 1024X768. Any help on these? Thanks
Ok, my "Parallel's NOOB status" is fully in force. I just realized the fix for this issue. As this is my first time using Parallels, I didn't realize you needed to installed Parallel Tools. Once that was done, I now have full resolution as well as drivers installed for all devices. *Hangs head in shame*
Hello TimW1, We are glad that the issue has been resolved. Parallels Tools are a suite of special utilities that help you use your virtual machines in the most comfortable and efficient way. With Parallels Tools, you can move the mouse seamlessly outside the guest OS window without pressing any key, change the virtual machine's screen resolution by simply resizing its window, and synchronize your virtual machine's time and date settings with the time settings of the host computer. Kindly write back to us if you have any trouble, we would be happy to help you.
