Would I be correct in assuming that there is no security risk involved with shared files IF the ethernet connection is disabled? I'm planning a Win2K Pro virtual disk install using the beta and once it's up to spec update-wise, I intend to turn off the ethernet (don't need/want to use it) and then allow file sharing. My intention is to use Thumbs+ as my image manager, at least until I find an equally capable program I can afford.

    gosh
    why make things so complicated?

    I trust a tough firewall

Picassa in google tools is a pretty good image manager
    tools.google.com

And the finder generates thumbnails in Mac OS
