On occasion I will get a few instances (up to 4) of dumprep.exe running (this is a Windows XP system logging process for logging info about application errors/crashes; from what I understand.) I don't know what causes it yet, but I can tell you this: Never had it before 3036 Only happens when I mess with Coherence mode in 3036 (not always) I'm guessing that it must be related to some of the processes that Parallels Tools use? When there are instanc(s) of dumprep.exe running, they share an equal process load that adds up to 100% cpu usage. You can simply kill the processes, or you can disable the windows error logging service in the service manager; obviously this is not the best solution to the problem. Windows XP SP2 allocated 1024MB RAM OS X 10.4.8, MacBook Pro CoreDuo 1.83GHZ 2GB RAM This wouldnt be such a big deal, but when they are running... it makes the Parallels process in OS X take up 115% (max one core, 15% on the other,) and I move from a steady heat of ~ 55*C in my normal working environment with XP open to 65*C very quickly. Mind you, I'm using a prefpane that helps manage the system fans better so it runs cooler in general, and if I werent this would be causing my macbook to heat up like the sun...
