I have created a second copy of my Vista VM, not by intention, I can assure you. I was at a paused state on my xp vm (it was having problems) and tried to restore from a previous state. The restore bought up a previous Vista that was locked/frozen/whatever and I had to quit out of the application.

At this point, when I came up I had two Vista's and no xp. One of the vista's is my original version, the second is a hybrid -- it installed tools when it came up and is not activated (windows activation).

Restoring my xp was trivial as I had this on external disk.

Where/how is this second vm and how do I clean up from here? (And how do I keep this from happening again!)

Being a bear of very little brain I could use some advice.

    AS always, thanks.

Search for all your .pvs files and .hdd files.
Determine which ones you use, delete the others.
