After upgrading my Mac to Sierra I'm getting the message "Unable to connect CD/DVD 0", saying that a file or device required for the operation does not exist or is in use by another process.

The DVD works fine under MacOS before I launch Parallels, but once I do then I can't use the DVD in either operating system. The drive had worked fine until the Sierra upgrade

    Hi @KentM1
Please try the below steps & let us know how it goes
    1.Open your Virtual Machine's Configuration:
    2.Click Hardware tab and click CD/DVD 1.
3.In the "Connected to:" drop down menu choose Default CD/DVD.

Thanks for the quick reply. That's when I get the "Unable to connect CD/DVD 0" message. I set my Win10 VM to take over the default drive in the machine. After the Sierra upgrade, that default switched to "Disconnect". Trying to override it to use the default drive then gives me the error message. Then the DVD drive is unusable in either OS until I shut down the machine. Is there an easy way to find out what process in Sierra thinks is using the drive?

    Thanks,
    Kent
