Error Code 01/00000001 When Signing In [2008 R2]

Hey guys. I'm new to the forums so go easy on me.

We have a client running 2X with Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard on the back end. When we create a new user, we set the password and check the "User must change password at first login" option. However, when we do this and have the user attempt to sign in, they get the error message attached. The exact verbiage is:

"Code [01/00000001]

The system could not log you on. Make sure your User name, Password and Domain are correct.
Letters in passwords must be typed using the correct case."

If we DE-check that option and have the user sign in, they can sign right in.

Any way around this?

TCOS till date does not support changing the password.
It's a domain limitation.
We might have a solution in the future but not yet.
Best is defaulting password and asking them to change it from the TS at next session.
