Just installed the "Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac build 5600 maintenance update" and now when I go to start up windows XP I get this error

"Parallels Desktop is unable to operate properly since it cannot communicate with one of its drivers. Seems that drivers are inconsistent with the currently installed version of Parallels Desktop. To overcome this issue, reinstall Parallels Desktop and start it by selecting Finder->Applications->Parallels->Parallels Desktop."

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no change. I simply got a notification to update to the latest version, downloaded and installed it, not sure if there is anything else I was supposed to do.

Everything was running fine before the update, I have a MacBook Pro with Intel processor running Mac OS X 10.5.2, only a few months old so I assume I shouldn't be having any problems.

    Thanks,
    Mike.

Followed the instructions to the letter however still receiving the error message. Neither the two folders or any of the .kext files were there to be deleted.

The next step is to perform permissions repair from Disk Utilities

The problem was solved I had to remove the old icon for the previous version from the quick launch bar and add a new one for the new version.

    Thanks,
    Mike.
