Error message: Parallels Control Center not working anymore

    Hi,
    I get the error message "Parallels Control Center funktioniert nicht mehr" = "Parallels Control Center not working anymore".
    At the same time drag & drop between OS X and Windows 8 (VM) does not work. Settings in configration however allow copy and paste between the two OS.

    Any idea what the root cause or fix could be?
