Good morning, I tried to boot Windows XP this morning (someone else shut it down last night and used Command-Q rather than going through the Windows shut-down process; don't know if that makes a difference here). This morning I was presented with a blue screen that told me I had to reboot. I did so, and then Parallels/XP told me it could not access winxp.hdd because it was being used by another application. I found the winxp.hdd file under Documents/Parallels/WindowsXP and was somewhat surprised. Should this Parallels folder reside in Documents, or should it be in Applications (there is a Parallels file in Applications as well, but it contains different things)? I had trouble booting XP once before, and I took it to the shop, and I was told that the Windows HD had "migrated" to a different location. The repair tech moved the file (or folder) and XP worked just fine. Could my current situation be a recurrence of the same problem? Any and all wisdom greatly appreciated. I'm a self-employed translator with a backlog of work on my desk, and Parallels+XP is my weapon of choice. Best regards, Anna
