I've installed the ApplicationServer XG on a single member server, in a domain environment. I can connect using a standard RDC client (MSTSC), but not with the 2X client. The server is running W2K8R2, with SP 1. All OS patches are current. The server also has remote desktop services (formerly Terminal Services) and IIS 7 installed. ASP is enabled, ASP.net is enabled, IIS Management Scripting is enabled. An SSL certificate has been loaded (and tested) on the server. I demo'ed this about 4 years ago, and I don't remember having near this level of frustration.. :x :x
