Hi, I am new to parallels, I've been reading a lot of the threads related to excel keyboard shortcuts, followed the instructions but my problem isn't solved yet. I am trying to use CTRL+A+S+S to sort and CTRL+ALT+S to insert a filter, but none of those work...Also, I always used CTRL+ arrow down/up/right etc to jump to the last cell on the column/rows but that isn't working either. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,
As a possible solution, please perform the steps below:
    1. Click on Actions in the top menu bar -> Configure...
    2. Go to Hardware -> Mouse & Keyboard
    3. Select Keyboard: Optimize for games.
For more information, please visit this KB article: https://kb.parallels.com/113932
If the issue persists, kindly reproduce the issue and collect a technical report (right-click Parallels icon in Dock > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and provide us with the report's 9-digit ID in reply to this post.
    Thanks

Already tried that, it doesn't work. It's hard to attach screenshots of something that doesn't produce results, I would be showing just an excel spreadsheet and nothing else since I don't get error messages.

    Hello Erika,
Please note that for this issue, screenshots are not important to troubleshoot, however the technical report will help us to further troubleshoot the issue.
As a possible solution, kindly follow the below steps:
    1. Open Excel
    2. Go to File > then click Options at the left lower corner of the screen
    3. Select Advanced from the list of options and scroll down the list until you see Lotus compatibility item, then make sure that Transition navigation keys option isn't selected.
If the issue persists, kindly reproduce the issue and collect a technical report (right-click Parallels icon in Dock > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and provide us with the report's 9-digit ID in reply to this post.
    Thank you!!

I'm struggling with this too, and the only solution I've found which works the way I want is to attach the keyboard directly to the VM by going to Devices > USB & Bluetooth in the menu bar. This is an OK solution, but it would be great if Parallels had some kind of keyboard "passthrough" mode which could be auto-enabled every time I switch over to Windows. I thought the "Profiles" setting in the VM preferences might do this (I tried selecting the "Generic" profile with no shortcuts defined), but none of the options there seem to change anything. Parallels seems to modify what comes from the keyboard in every instance.

My use case is also Excel -- I've been using it on Windows for so long that the keyboard shortcuts are burned into my brain! I use an external Windows keyboard, and it's really important to me that things like the Alt key and the navigation controls (Ctrl-up, Ctrl-Shift-down and so on) work in the traditional way.

It seems like you're experiencing issues with keyboard shortcuts in Excel while using Parallels. Firstly, ensure that your keyboard settings are correctly configured within Parallels to match your host system. Additionally, for sorting (CTRL+A+S+S), make sure you have a range of cells selected before using the shortcut. For filtering (CTRL+ALT+S), ensure that you are selecting a cell within the column you want to filter before using the shortcut. Regarding navigating with CTRL+arrow keys, ensure you're not in edit mode within a cell. If the issue persists, you might want to check if there are any conflicts with Parallels' key mappings or Excel settings.
