I have a 5 GB partition with Windows XP installed on it, and recently I realized that it wasn't enough. I used the Parallels image tool to expand it to 6 GB, but Windows still only recognizes the virtual HDD as 5 GB. What's going on? Is there something I did wrong? I hope that I don't have to create a new image and re-install everything. Thanks! Alex L
The argument ha already been discussed somewhere else in this forum. Anyway: you must tell XP to recognize that extra Gbyte. Search for Diskpart and use the EXTEND # command where # is the number related to the drive C after you write LIST VOLUME or VOLUME LIST. (maybe VOLUME should be VOLUMES).
Thank you, I'll try it when I get home much later tonight. I tried searching for it, but I did find the answer I needed. So many possible search keywords to think of.... Alex L.
