External Hard drive errors

I have Parallels v4 running on a Mac Pro with 8GB of ram and dual quad processors. I have a VM of Vista 64bit running and every thing is great except....


I have two external SATA hard drives in a connected eSATA box on a SIIG card. I use the drives to store info that I must work on and store back on during my use. I can see the drives and can open my data. When I try to save the data, it does not save. I cannot see the drives in Disk Manager on Windows but can see them as Networked drives in Windows Explorer. I have tried to change the permissions of the folders from Read only to Write but I get the error " Error Applying Attributes". I definitely need these drives as storage and have no other work around for that.

Any ideas on how I can write to the drives from Parallels?
