I have an external USB drive which I use to backup my data on my Windows virtual machine -- for backup purposes and to transfer from my iMac to my MacBook. on my iMac for several years, this drive used "G" as the drive letter and this is how my PureSync program is setup. Recently my hard drive connected with drive "X" designation. I have fumbled around with trying to understand why this change and if I could set up so that it connected with "G" drive. If I can't then I need to recreate the backup setting which is a hassle. Any suggestions on why and how to revert to the prior drive letter?
