F2 key not working with putty to serial console for Dell server

    Hi,

    Is there a way to configure the keys that are sent by Parallels desktop? I have tried all the tricks to try to get F2 to work from setting the option in the Keyboard and Mouse settings to holding down the "fn" key when hitting F2, but none of these seem to work. I am running XP in Parallels Desktop and connecting to a serial console remotely. I would like to change the BIOS settings on a Dell server, but the F2 to enter BIOS is not working for me. If I could map the Send Key function in Parallels desktop to the F2 key...

    Has anyone else had this type of experience? If so what was your work around?

    By the way, this is on a MacBook Pro using the built-in keyboard.

    This turned out to be a Putty problem, not a Parallels Desktop problem. I selected the type of keyboard to emulate in the Putty options...VT100. Now Bob's my uncle.
