Faster for older MacBook Pro: XP or Windows 7?

    Hi, I have a MacBook Pro that's about 3.5 years old (not the fastest). I assume XP would run faster in Parallels on my Mac but I wanted to make sure there isn't some magic going on that enables Windows 7 to run faster or as fast.

    Please advise. Thanks!
