I have done extensive testing of Parallels 8 Desktop, VMware Fusion 5, VMware Workstation 9, VirtualBox 4.2, and the now defunct Parallels Workstation 6. By far, Parallels 8 Desktop afforded the best graphics/video performance. Now that Parallels is no longer developing/supporting its Workstation product, the main desktop options for Linux and Windows hosts are VirtualBox and VMware Workstation, whose graphics support lag far behind that of Parallels 8 Desktop. It would be great if Parallels would revive its Workstation product or perhaps expand the scope of its Desktop product to include Windows and Linux hosts. Thank you for considering this suggestion.
