If anyone is familiar with using Fedora as an OS outside of Parallels I have a question for you. Booting my MacBook Pro into OS X Lion takes a minute and a half from a cold start until everything is finished. Booting Fedora using Parallels takes in the order of 15 seconds. Granted I have some things that start with my Mac like iStat Menus, etc. that likely add some time to the boot, but 15 seconds vs 90 seconds is likely more than just a few extra programs starting.

Is the Fedora boot time amazingly fast somehow because Parallels is already running and handling some of what the OS would otherwise be doing, or does it really only take 15 seconds to boot Fedora from a cold startup? If it's really that fast I may look into setting my MacBook as a 3 boot system (I already have a dual boot for Mac Lion/Windows 7) so when I just want to start quickly to check mail etc. I could use Fedora to do so.
