Used the built in Parallels download/installer for Fedora 17. It downloaded, unarchives, and installed. Then at the sign in page, i selected user "parallels". It asks for the password. I've tried "parallels" "admin" "changeme", no have worked. Searched the forums & googled the web for answers, and nothing. Closest thing i found was a older post on here from a year ago on an older version of fedora/parallels that it was supposed to prompt me for a new password, and then reenter it to verify. Thinking i may have been too quick to click through the dialogs and missed it i deleted and re-downloaded/installed again, making sure to read before typing, it asks for a password (NOT a new one), and no matter what i put, it says "Authentication Failed" I found a video on YouTube that showed someone using PD7 & installing Fedora 16, and it asks for a new password, and reprompts to verity. What the preconfigured Fedora-17 install is doing is definitely different than what is in the video. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
I had a good look through the documentation and help sections as well, couldn't find it. So to change it: *Restart the VM. *On the grub menu select the Advanced Fedora Linux option. *Select Recovery mode. This will give you root. *Change password for the parallels user: passwd parallels *Get back to GUI: init 5
