I have set my Windows XP file associates to always open MS-Office files with the corresponding Mac version of the app, e.g. ppt files associated with Mac PowerPoint, etc. Double-clicking the file launches the correct Mac app but it opens up with a blank file (ie 'Document 1'). I have tried reinstalling Parallels Tools, rebooting, etc. Clicking url's from Windows opens up Mac Firefox without any problems. It's just the MS-Office files that won't work.
Hi Josh, Please install the latest MacFUSE version. When MacFUSE gets outdated for Mac OS X with the latest updates, file associations problems might occur. So updating it helps to eliminate these problems.
