IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM? When I'm on a Parallels 7 XP VM (on a Mac obviously), and accessing any file (.doc, .dwg), a second person with the same setup can go in and get access to the same file - their request is not denied, and they are not prompted for a read only file. I just spoke to Parallels tech support (ticket 1634631), they don't think this is a problem. When I'm on the Mac side, and try this with "Mac-only" software (i.e. accessing a .dwg from "AutoCAD for Mac), the network informs me that another user has the file open, denies me access, and asks if I'd like to open "read-only" - as is should be. http://forum.parallels.com/showthre...bug-File-lock-not-working&highlight=file+lock This wasn't an issue when the network shares we were accessing lived on a Windows SBS2003 server, but have cropped up after we've migrated to a new Mac OSX 10.8.3 server. Thanks for any insight. GK
