File printer sharing

Enabling file and printer sharing on XP

Greetings all

This is sort of a complicated issue, but I hope there are a few who would take up the challenge.

I have Parallels on my MBP and I'm trying to install ACT! 2005 (a customer relationship management software, that runs only on PCs). I have installed Parallel Tools, Hamachi (a virtual VPN client), Win XP Pro SP1, no firewalls, no Norton. ACT! refuses to install because a message says "File and print sharing must be enabled before the installation can continue."

In the Network Connections, I see 3 things: Internet Connection, Hamachi and Local Area Connection. When I go to their properties, File and Printer Sharing is already enabled.

I'm not sure what else I can do. Thanks.

 

Other ways to enable file and printer sharing?

File sharing is working fine for me. Not sure what problem you're having. Sorry...
