Files corrupted when saved through shared disk

I have Windows XP installed on a Boot Camp partition and running in Parallels. The Windows C drive is set to mount on the desktop. I'm working with Photoshop files on the Windows disk, editing them using Photoshop CS3 running under Mac OS X.

Frequently, when I save a file, it ends up corrupted and unreadable by Photoshop. Photoshop does not report any errors when saving, but when I try to re-load the file I get all sorts of random errors, such as "not compatible with this version of Photoshop" or "unsupported blend mode".

Be very careful! I have been losing work because of this. In my experience it is not safe to trust files saved to the Windows disk on the desktop.

Has anyone else seen anything similar?

(Parallels Desktop 3.0 build 5606 running under Mac OS X 10.5.4.)

Dir you try to save it to network share on another Windows PC?
Try that I suppose this is not related to Parallels

I'm not sure what you mean by "not related to Parallels" since it happens when using Photoshop to save to a Parallels mounted disk. Anyone using Photoshop and Parallels should beware.

I will see if I can produce a similar problem on a Windows network share and let you know the results.
