Hi, I've got a user who gets the following error when filtering is enabled on a published program: failed to get application information, 2X Application Server might not be running or you dont have permissions to run the application. I must say that there was a problem with the group mapping on the (Linux) Samba Domain Controller for this user. This was caused by the domain name being changed some time ago. But fixed by changing the domain name in the user account (using pdbedit to edit the SAM database) and adding the user to the groupmap. Before this when filtering was enabled on the 2X console the user couldn't even see the program even though he was member of the group which was filtered on. Now the user can see the program but gets the error shown above when double clicking it. If I disable filtering for this application in the 2X console the user can run the program without problems. The reason why I think this is a 2X problem is the fact the the mapping seems to work fine outside 2X. When I configure security settings to allow or disallow access to this user or the group this user is in on a local folder on the Windows 2003 Terminal Server, then it works as expected. So my question is if there is anyone who knows how to solve this problem. I'm running the latest 2X Application Server (6.1 Build 465) Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me out, Jochum
Well, just an update on this one. It seems to have been resolved somehow. I don't know if it just needed some time to 'clear' or because I re-added the users to the group again or tried to filter on the user etc. I guess it's the first one, just wait a while... My next step would have been to restart the Windows TS.. have fixed many problems that way
