Hello, I work in a university setting and after having installed Parallels on several Macbooks in a classroom, I now need to re-image all of them. So, I will need the serial numbers I used to reinstall Parallels. The only number I can find is Parallels Desktop -> About Parallels Desktop -> More Info -> Product ID However, all of the Macbooks share an identical Product ID. Other installations on other computers in other locations on campus bought at different times have different Product IDs. Do I have a blanket license for this classroom and this is the only number I need, or am I looking in the wrong place? Long story short: if I have already installed Parallels on a Mac, how do I find the serial key used? Thank You!
If it's Parallels Desktop 4.0 then navigate in Finder to Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/Parallels/licenses.xml -- open it with Textedit For previous versions open Terminal (Applications/Utilities/) and type there: cat /Library/Parallels/.parallels_license_3.0 or cat /Library/Parallels/.parallels_license_2.5 or cat /Library/Parallels/.parallels_license_whatever depending on what version you have.
