Hi I have Parallels 5.0.9310 on a brand new iMac 30.06Ghz with 8 GB RAM. It runs like a dream but when I run Parallels actions such as opening a file or using the 'save as ' command are really slow - it takes 10 seconds of spinning ball for the dialogue box to open. If I close Parallels the problem persists and the only way is to reboot and not start Parallels at all. I've tried all sorts of settings, allocating from 512MB to 4GB of RAM to Parallels but nothing works. I've tried it with Win 7 and XP. Please help!
