There is new 1.1 bootcamp with iSight support on Apple site. Perhaps the iSight drivers could be used in Parallels? Can any of the Devs comment on this?
If the drivers are there it may work with the current Parallels USB infrastructure. Someone who has enough space on their Mac (I don't) should extract the drivers and post them somplace where we can get at them The only problem we might run into is the dreaded "wait 5 to 10 seconds" thing, being that Mac OS definately has a hold on the camera. Perhaps we can get lucky and have it work in Parallels when the Mac is not recording...
I tried extracting the new drivers but XP says the iSight drivers arent the right drivers for the device.
The (internal USB2) iSight driver for Windows can be downloaded here: http://rapidshare.de/files/29594322/...p_1.1.zip.html But it apparently won't work till USB2 is supported by Parallels.
if you install Boot Camp 1.1 on OS X, your built-in iSight will be updated to version 1.82 and XP in Parallels Desktop will not be able to detect and install driver on the built-in iSight anymore. more info: http://forum.parallels.com/thread3767.html http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=602479
