Hello all, I'm running XP under Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac and it's not accepting my password. I haven't booted in a while and it's conceivable that I changed it a few weeks ago and have mistaken what I thought it was. In any case, how in the heck can I recover (or reset) the Windows XP password so I can start the XP VM? TIA
reset password I cannot log in to set up Parallels on my MacBook Air. I cannot get any help from Apple or Parallels to do this. I even paid for tech support and cannot log into that either. What the heck am I supposed to do. Judith Henry
Hi Judith, I assume you cannot login to your Windows, not Mac OS X? I could not find any tickets associated with your account, could you send me the ticket number? Although recovering Windows password is a Microsoft issue, you can try to follow these instructions: http://www.howtogeek.com/96630/how-to-reset-your-forgotten-windows-password-the-easy-way/ I'd also suggest to make a backup of your VM before you do that: http://kb.parallels.com/8829
original Parallels had no registrati I have never been able to set up Parallels because I had no number on the box or any paperwork with the number in order to set it up with my Mac. I have tried and tried to get help. My next step is to take the software back to Apple and get my money back. It is not doing me any good. I do not have any other information to give you. Just fed up. Judy Henry
