Forza Horizon 3 - Won't Launch

Discussion in 'Windows Virtual Machine' started by Parallels User, Jun 5, 2017.

  1. Hello everyone!

I recently downloaded Parallels along with the Windows 10 Virtual Machine. This was a big investment for me, but I was looking forward to playing games on my new Windows platform. Everything worked fine on startup of the Virtual Machine. I also downloaded one of the games I wanted to play (Forza Horizon 3).
When I opened it, the cover image of the game was in a small window with black bars around it. The game waited there for about 7 seconds, and then crashed. I tried changing my memory and graphic memory in the Parallels settings, but it still didn't work.

I tried to download a NVIDIA driver from the internet, the one that Forza Horizon 3 requires (NVIDIA GTX 1060) but when checking system compatability, it says "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." The driver not working could be the problem. I have not yet tested out any other games, but I don't think it's a problem with Forza Horizon 3 because I downloaded the game a day before this post.

Thanks for reading! I hope we find a solution.
