    Hi all,
When setting up Parallels I chose to have Paralells install Ubuntu. When I shut down from within Ubunutu, the shut down screen appears with a loading icon that perpetually spins. If I try to shutdown using the menu, it is freezing my entire MacBook for a minute or two. I cannot do anything and the Mac color wheel just spins. After that minute or so passes, I can use my laptop again and have to Force Quit Paralells, marked as non-responding.

I have MacBook M4 Pro and a very new installation of an Ubuntu VM with Paralells Pro.

I searched and only found a thread from 2006, and it did not resolve my issue. I am new on here so I am sorry if my search was ineffective and this is a repost.

Want to clarify, when I mention "shutdown using the menu" I am referring to the menu bar in MacOS for the Ubuntu VM and am hitting Actions -> Shut Down in the menu bar.
