    Hi All,

I am trying to run some old Windows games on an XP SP3 guest OS. The games run at either 640 x 480, 800 x 600 or 1024 by 768 (all 4:3) resolutions. I have a new Macbook with a maximum native resolution of 1280 x 800.

I have selected to turn on 3D acceleration and to change the resolution of Mac OS to match the guest OS. As a result, when I now start these games in the guest OS they don't stretch to fit the whole width of the screen. They fill the screen from top to bottom but not from side to side. There are black bars running down the left and right side of the game. Now I understand that it does this to maintain the aspect ratio, but I would like to have the game automatically stretch to fill the entire screen.

If I manually change the Mac OSX screen resolution to say 1024 x 768 (stretched) prior to running the VM then they do fill the entire screen but it would be nice to not have to go through this manual screen switching process.

Is there a configuration setting that I m missing here?

    Cheers

    Mark
