Over the last month or so I've been trying to play a couple of the more recently released games on Parallels rather than booting into Windows OS (Boarderlands II, Dishonored, XCom Enemy Unknown), and while all of them will run, I've experience the occasional issue. What happens is the game will appear to freeze and there may be some flickering of the screen. This is a rare occurrence in the first two games listed, but with Xcom, it happens regularly, to the point I cannot actually play the game. It typically begins soon after I start a game mission.

A more detailed description of the actual symptoms is as follows:

The game freezes, sound continues and I can (perhaps 75% of the time) move back to MacOS by command-tab. (In other words, the freeze issue appears to remain with the guest-OS.) Sometimes I can unstick the freeze by sending Ctl-alt-delete and trying to bring up the task manager.

The remaining 25% of the time, I experience a complete system freeze and everything becomes unresponsive - this usually happens if I continue trying to play after extracting myself from one or more of the previous freezes. I should also reiteration, that the freezing is often accompanied by flickering of the screen, which is one of the things that leads me to believe the problem I'm experiencing is graphics related.

    Any thoughts/ideas on my issue?
