Game Started... BUT what is this.

Check the attached picture, this happened in "Battlefield 1942".
If you know the menu-field you can click through but the font is no way readable.

Any suggestions on how to circumvent this problem?

specs: unibody alu macbook 2ghz - 2gb ram - pd4

 

Same here. I haven't a clue what to try next.

 

Game starts. Sound and video good. Text garbled. Can actually play the game. Could it be something as simple as a missing font?
