    Hi

I have a segfault when launching kwin (and any opengl apps), the backtrace is that one:

I've parralel tools installed and I think the good version of libGL for both 32 and 64 bits (libGL.so.5.0.9220.531129)

does any one got an idea to help me ?

Yes, this may happen on xorg 1.6.5. As a temporary workaround you can try switching from KWin to Metacity.
    We're working on a fix.

    Thanks !

As my demo version end next week, can I be sure that the fix will be made (cause I think I will buy the complete version) ?
Would it work if I install xorg 1.7.0 ?

Alternatively you can use a little script I wrote here: http://forum.parallels.com/showpost.php?p=392224&postcount=7 which restores the affected Parallels Tools libraries to the defaults (Disclaimer: &may* reduce/remove OpenGL 3D functionality) and saves you from having to install Metacity (and all of the associated packages) and having to mess with window manager settings (sysconfig Editor in Yast2 or /etc/sysconfig/windowmanager for that matter in case anyone cares to go down that path).

Hope this helps... (just thought I'd point this out as this problem is quite irritating and I believe KWin to be a far superior window manager to Metacity (especially in conjunction with KDE).

Please understand that we can not make commitments on unanounced future releases.
It is only my personal perception that xorg 1.6.5 will not be a problem.
xorg 1.7 driver is not current in Parallels Tools package. It is also in the works. But it's a bit complicated by the fact that no major distro includes 1.7 yet.
[edit] I missed the news: Fedora 12 just came out.

BTW, you can always request an additional evaluation key.

Thanks for the script, works well
I'll buy the product as soon as I receive my salary
