Hi, I'm new to this forum. I've been testing parallels desktop and currently like it better than bootcamp. However, I'm having problems with getting network connectivity in my office. Everything works when i'm at home. I have an intel macbook (osx 10.4) and windows xp (sp2) installed in a VM. At home, i can use both wired and wireless (air port) with no additional configuration in my guest os. However, at work, i can only get wired connection working. If i try to use wireless (air port), i see that i am unable to acquire a network address. The difference between home and work is that in my office, if i'm using wireless, then i have to pptp first before i can get network connectivity. at home, obviously i get wireless connection right away as long as my wireless settings in osx are correct. Question: under osx, if i go to system preferences... network... and select show "AirPort" TCP/IP tab, i see the correct dhcp address assigned. If i select to show "Parallels Host-Guest Adapter", I don't see any addresses. I only see "use DHCP" configured. Is this normal? (NOTE: I have yet to see what the setting looks like at home so i can compare). Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. I only have a week left in my trial and i want to make sure this works before I purchase. Thanks a lot!
