Had to replace the main hard drive in my iMac. Luckily I was able to save the virtual disk image and am able to launch it and run it just fine after I replaced the failed hard drive in my mac. However now my Virtual 8.1 windows machine doesn't see the folder structure on my mac (shared folders and the files within) because it is still referencing the older hard drive structure. I have tried adding a custom folder directory under the configure dialog box but it still won't let me navigate to files I need to get to in that directory. Is there any way to redirect the associated Mac user with the Parallels guest installation so I can navigate the mac as it is now?
Hi William, this may happen if Parallels Tools are not installed or corrupted, follow the steps suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/112609 to install Parallels Tools manually and check if the issue still persisting.
