Last night I tried to boot up Win10 on my MacBook Air after not using it for a couple of months. To my surprise it wouldn't boot up and no error info on the screen. I tried several things including reinstalling Parallels Tools. That didn't appear to do anything. All I had was a big white screen. Then I got a glimmer of an update downloading (VERY SLOWLY).

Finally I gave up and went to bed, leaving the MBA on and perhaps downloading something. This morning I found my MBA to be off so I turned it back on and then clicked on Parallels. This time it also took a longer than normal time to load, but finally Win 10 did come up. I check "system" and got a message that Windows 10 Creators version will be arriving soon. Didn't see an option to turn off the update, but there was an option to do it NOW.

I've been seeing some posts that say the Creators edition might not boot/install with Parallels. I was close to the point where I thought of just dumping Parallels completely and going with a BootCamp installation. I have that on my iMac and it's very stable.

Does anyone know if I were to go "Bootcamp" if Bootcamp would recognize my existing Parallels Windows 10 software or would I have to dump Parallels, load Bootcamp and then do a new installation of Win10?

Hello @StarShot Your Boot Camp partition will not recognize your Applications which you installed in the Parallels virtual machine. You have to install the Software separately on the Boot Camp. Please refer this link http://bit.ly/2utJgFp for disabling Windows creator update. Thanks, Shathish
