    Hello All

Please help I have intsalled the upgrade and I have gone from a flawless implementation of the previous version to where Coherence will not even start by any method.

Window and full screen mode works fine but no Coherence by either the view menu or button.

The option appears but no action after click it just seems to be disabled.

    More Information

Since my post I have run the disk utility to repair permissions

Unistalled using the 5160 Uninstall utility
Reinstalled the new version fresh from the downloaded dmg

When I choose prepare to install tools no additional actitivity occurs.

I log in to the Windows XP image and still cannot use coherence mode.

I click actios install the Parallels Tools again and nothing happens other than the option now says "Cancel Parallels Tools Installation" I can wait for 20 minutes and no installation activity is percieved.

I have a newly purchased Mac Book Pro 2.4 ghz 2 gig ram

I would first uninstall the Parallels tools from Windows, and then try to install them again from the menu. Also, make sure you don't have a CD in the drive or a connected disk image as that will conflict with the Parallels tools install.

    It Worked

Thank you for you help your solution solved my problem.

The automated update of the Tools within my virtual machine was what failed and this was the reason the Coherence would not initiate.

I first un-installed the Windows Parallels Tools from the control panel

I connected the downloaded dmg to my CD/DVD and started the reinstall manually. One the machine rebooted coherene worked fine and I am seeing a performane boost in this new build.

    Thanks Again

Coherence Coherance Gone After 5160 Upgrade

Thanks for the clue on deleting Parallels Tools from within Windows. I was a little lost after that part though. Here are the steps I followed after that to get Coherence back. I reinstalled 5160 (did not uninstall previous Parallels...just installed 5160 again). Then I started Windows XP2. I then went to the Windows File Manager and clicked on it. In front of me was displayed not only a C drive but a D drive with Parallels Tools. I went to the D drive, clicked on setup (starting Parallels Tools manually). It installed and everything was good after the XP OS restart. Coherence Works AGAIN. VG
