    Hi,

I am running XP and using an English keyboard layout on a MacBook.

Does anyone know how to type a German umlaut in this configuration?

I googled and found that in XP you can type Alt 129 on a numeric keypad to make ü. How do I duplicate this behavior in XP VM?

    Thanks!!

Try the Windows Character Map application (under System Tools in Win2k).

Good idea. I should have known that.

FWIW, I created a small text file with Notepad and pasted the letters that I need into the file. I'll have to copy/paste from the text file into my application (until I find something easier).

Thanks for the wake up call.

    cheers
