I moved my complete system disc including my VMs to my new Macbook, and when I start my Parallels 14, then I end up with various windows, on top of them an empty window titled "Parallels Desktop". One single time this asked me to login using a Facebook account. Which I denied (I don't want Facebook), but I was not offered an alternative.
Since then, always when I do a fresh start of Parallels again, then I end up with this window showing nothing, as if my Parallels is stuck within some process. I even did a fresh install of a new test version of Parallels, but nothing changed.
I have read somewhere that I should deactivate Parallels on my old Macbook, but because I do no longer have that, that I should instead activate my "new" Parallels under "Account and License" in the Parallels Desktop menu. But when I click this entry in the menu, I get again the empty window titled "Parallels Desktop", and I'm stuck again. Not very nice...
What can I do?
EDIT:
As I read at a neighbor poster, I executed the command "QT_QUICK_BACKEND=software open /Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app" in Terminal, and that sorted it out.
Jesus...
